Camphor is TOXIC if ingested — as little as 2g can be fatal in children. Ingestion causes seizures, respiratory failure, and liver damage. Even topical application in excess can cause absorption through skin leading to toxicity. NEVER apply near face of infants. Never use near open flames (camphor is flammable). External use only.
