Use natural algae-derived only (not synthetic). May cause orange tint to skin at high doses.

Very safe. May cause reddish-orange skin tint at very high doses (>40mg/day) — harmless and reversible. Synthetic astaxanthin may not have the same safety profile as natural (algae-derived) form. Very rarely causes GI upset. No significant organ toxicity has been documented.
